Volleyball History
Is it possible for a 6'5" guy to become a proficent setter in volleyball?
I am a 6'5", 17 year old male. I just joined my schools volleyball team and I really enjoyed it. Being my first year, and having never played in my life's history.... i was made the middle hitter. I started varsity, but i always envied the role of the setter. I was wondering if it is within my reach to become a setter? If so, I would appreciate tips on good drills that i could do. Thank You for your help..

He's 6'8". He's now back training with the National team again. Don't let anyone tell you you're too anything to play any position. However; you better be fast, smart, and able to run a team. Not a lot drills to coach the intangibles. Practice setting out-of-system passes as well as in-system passes. If you're serious about it, get a setting coach, a good one, not some schmuck. Get into the gym and get a lot of reps.
side note: What does your team need? You may have to play middle and train separately as a setter for future teams. Sometimes sacrifice is the best quality in a teammate
